Entrance Hall with Limestone Floor Slabs and a Clad Feature Wall

An entrance hall where limestone meets the visitor on three surfaces at once. Large floor slabs in pale cream and soft honey are laid in an irregular pattern, their faces worn smooth with faint tonal clouding across each stone. The left wall is clad floor to ceiling in squared limestone blocks of gold, ochre and grey, washed by recessed downlights that bring out the texture, and the same stone frames the arched double entry doors and climbs the staircase wall. The white plaster between these surfaces lets each one read clearly. Suited to entrance halls, foyers and stair halls in traditional residences.
