Bathroom with a Limestone Portal, Tumbled Floor and Stone Clad Tub

The view into this bathroom is framed by a portal of large limestone blocks, pale grey and deeply textured, set in alternating long and short courses down each jamb. Beyond it, a tumbled limestone floor in grey, sand and ochre rectangles runs in a random pattern to an arched bathing alcove, where the tub is wrapped in small honey toned stone pieces. Thick stone tops with softened edges sit on both timber vanities beneath wall sconces. The contrast between the rugged portal and the smaller, quieter floor stones gives the room its depth. Suited to principal bathrooms, guest suites and spa rooms in traditional homes.
