Timber Framed Kitchen with a Limestone Range Hood

In this timber framed kitchen, the range is set inside a limestone hood built up from squared blocks under a moulded cornice, with a broad mantel shelf and curved corbels stepping down on each side. The stone is pale and open textured, with natural pitting and warm grey patches that suit the hand hewn beams overhead. A herringbone brick panel lines the back of the cooking alcove, and pale stone tops run along the perimeter cabinets and the island. Underfoot, squared stones in grey, rust and sand complete the palette. Suited to country kitchens, farmhouse renovations and timber framed homes.
