Ocean Living Room with a Carved Stone Mantel and Limestone Floor

A carved stone mantel anchors this ocean view living room. Its broad frieze carries three quatrefoil rosettes in relief, and the jambs and shelf are softened and mottled in grey and bone, framing a herringbone brick firebox. Underfoot, long limestone planks in weathered grey and taupe run beneath the rug and straight out to the loggia, where a stone column frames the sea. The worn, slightly uneven surface of the floor pairs naturally with the bleached timber coffers overhead. Here the floor and the fireplace share one quiet, sea washed palette. Suited to coastal living rooms, family rooms and any hearth opening onto a terrace.
